Their self-released new album is called Parrot Fliesand I just love the South Park -style paper cutout of the parrot on the front. I made the mistake of missing them on their current tour of the States when I found out they booked a show in Oklahoma, but on a different day from what Parrit thought.

After hearing them in his car, more than a few times, I started to realize just how intricately the parrrot are arranged and how ridiculous the musicianship is that compliments their singer's over-the-top, but very human, delivery. Here's to making ends meet and making those ends meet up just when they need to and not when you want them to.
I'll keep it in mind from now on. Excellent emo with a noise pop twist from a new Cambridge label.

Without a doubt, Algernon Cadwallader have done better than I could have hoped, and this new album proves that. Has to be good. No album has ever touched me emotionally like this akgernon has. I used to hate Algernon Cadwallader. Joe's guitars, besides making sweet notes, get to bleed out a little bit and show off their crunchiness.
These tracks are just some of the highlights that abound here. I believe the gap between their immediate influences has hit its mark.

I would go as far as to say that every song is a jewel in its own right. Pitch-perfect math rock from Kaneohe, Hawaii charges forward on raw, ragged emotion.
Who could ask for more? If It Kills Me is my favourite off this. There is a purpose behind every movement and every movement is a purpose.
Hope This Ends Well. The Norwegian band deliver hard-edged and melodic 90s indie rock on their first full-length release. No matter, no matter; it's all good. There is a raw quality that is noticeable, and I will agree that it probably comes from their desire to be self-contained when the recording sessions went down.
